About JPIET

Dean (Student Welfare)

The domain of 'student welfare' is quite wide and encompasses several those aspects of a student's life which may fall within and/or without curricular domain.

JPIET is committed to holistic transformation - to become a better and responsible human being - of an individual getting associated with it, primarily students. Keeping this in view, the functionary of 'Dean (Student Welfare)' was conceived of and established. I feel elated to have accepted the revered responsibility. As a maiden attempt, the CoX Events (The Co & Extra Curricular activities of JPIET) were conceptualized and executed with the contribution of CoX Committees (formed of faculty members) assisted by event 'student organizers'. These events are held on Saturdays, regularly, with an objective of developing and nurturing various aspects of students' personality, especially, health; soft skills; and time management. The areas covered under CoX Events are: literary, technical, cultural and sports. Further developments are under process with regards to this set of activities. For this very purpose, more student involvement in design & execution of the events is being incorporated.

The participation of students of JPIET in other institutions/organization is also keenly observed and coordinated from the office of Dean (Student Welfare), and students are encouraged for the same. Apart from the establishment of the various platforms related to personality development and overall social life improvement, thorough guidance is also required for an individual to achieve her life's goals efficiently. In this regard, I expect that the JPIET community shall have a rather innovative 'mentorship system' in place, and students shall greatly benefit from it.

Finally, I believe that our organization shall prove to be a place of worthiness vis-a-vis support and betterment of humanity, and a place that is sought after by the aspiring engineering scholars.

JP Education trust was established in the year 1993 under the dynamic leadership of Shri Jai Prakash Agarwal and Dr. Hariom Agarwal.
