| Department of Mechanical Engineering continues to play a key role in developing, operating & manufacturing new machines. Students are able to develop solutions to real life problems in the face of conflicting requirements through intensive theory and practical training in the field of Heat & Mass transfer, Thermal Energy conversion, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and Manufacturing Technology. The department is very well equipped with 19 laboratories including Central Workshop. The computational facilities include forty five computing workstations with softwares installed, like Pro-E, ZWCAD etc. that cover the areas of design, drafting and analysis in mechanical engineering.

The students are provided with valuable inputs through guest lectures from the faculty of other institutes including IITs and other esteemed institutes. These lectures are conducted on a weekly basis so that the students can have sufficient interaction with the guest professors for their experienced guidance and inputs.
